My tradingstyle

Here you can read more about the different trading philosophies i'm using. Im not writing the exact strategies. because the details and attributes is changing all the time. But more about how I use the different trading technics. I always see s trade in 2 parts. The entry points and the exit points. I use different mechanical strategies and technics.

The entry point:

Im using 4 different entry technics when i find my entry points. Golden cross, Outside bar (priceaction) Bollinger band technic and opening range technic. And on top if it, i always use a timeslot when the entry should be. Ex. between 09:00 and 11:00 PM.

Golden Cross:

Golden cross is where you use 2 different moving average. A slow and a fast. The entry could be when the fast MA is crossing the fast MA. But only in the timeslot you choose. That could be the first 2 hours in the London session.

Bollinger Band:

The bollinger band technincs is the bar is crossing to upper or lower bollingerband. Like. if the 15 min bar is crossing to upper bollinger band, then buy or sell the asset. On top of it, i also use timeslot on when the entry should be.

Outsidebar:

The outsidebar techninc is probably the most difficult one. The outside bar is where the bar is wider that than the previous bar. you can mix on what bartype your using. I normal use it like.. if the 5 min bar raises 5 pips more than the previous 15 min bar. Then buy or sell. This technic is very difficult to backtest. You then need some kind of backtest software. Capitalise.ai is very good to that.

Opening range:

The opening range strategy you can actually use on every assets you wish. Im using it on indices. like the US500. This strategy is manual Priceaction. And you can NOT code this in capitalise. This strategy is looking at the first 15min bar, and the hour after the opening. If a 15min bar after the opening bar is going higher or lower than the opening 15m bar, you  will very offent see the main direction for the asset the next hours.

Timeslots:

I'm always using timeslot to control when the entry should be. Like when i trade a forex pair in the london session, the entry point should also be in the in the london session. To avoid the opening mashup, it could be like between 10AM to 14PM CET. if eurusd crossing.... You can actually code that in capitalise. It is very effective to do it this way. So try it and test it :)

The exit point:

Im always using a standard pips calculation for my profits and losses. on this way i always now how much i will loose per trade. This is very important for the risk management, so i don't risk more than 1-2% of my capital.

That could look like this in capitalise. Close position on a profit by 30 pips or a loss by 40 pips or at 9:00pm CET. The closing time is very important for my trading style, because i want to close all my positions before 10:00PM CET. I don't do overnight trading.

Im also using time slots in the exit point. That could be like.. Close position after 2 hours. In this way the position always closing on a specifik time after the entry point. This could be very effective if you trade on the market movements.

Hope this have inspired you.

Happy trading 🤩
